Purpose SBQ questions are easier when Sec 2 History students follow a clear writing structure.
In this guide, I use A.V.A.M.I.E.
Author → Verb → Audience → Message → Intended Outcome → Evidence + Explanation
The part students most often forget is the Intended Outcome .
This means what the author wants the audience to do after reading the source.
Leaving this out can cost marks even when the rest of the answer is strong.
